Here's a look at our new apartment...
updates as they're worth showing...

It's a duplex one-bedroom...

Standing in the living room, looking into the dining area and at the kitchen...

Mostly in this room we just installed light fixtures and added furniture, paintings, and lots of books

But we also created a little office for me...

The brand new kitchen, or at least part of it from inside...

Stocked up with appliances and food...

Looking down the hall towards the bathroom...

I can't claim we did a lot here - we hung a painting that my parents gave me of a bridge in Paris, and put up some pretty colored gels on the windows (you can see them more in the patio picture)...

The bathroom - very trendy, no?

We put in a new shower curtain, towel rod, and just general bathroom stuff...

There's a small patio off of the kitchen - perfect for growing some herbs, and hanging the laundry out to dry...

I had this antique baker's rack and nowhere to put it in the apartment, it's just too big. It was perfect for the patio and growing herbs...

Standing on the stairs and peering up into the bedroom (which also has a half-bath)...

And from the bathroom looking down across the living room and out into the backyard/garden...

The bedroom got a nice bedroom set, and a new TV in the corner.

The bedroom also had space for the other computer, which means Henry can play online and leave my "office" alone.

And, here's the garden! The patio area is made of wood blocks pounded into the ground. The walls obviously need major cleaning, and the garden's been left to grow untended. Vines and trees are sort of crawling the walls... So...

The first thing was to pull out vines, cut back the trees, clean and repaint the walls, and replant the garden with vegetables and flowers that we like. It will take a little time to grow in, but soon...

Now that plants are planted and growing, I thought I'd add one more set of pictures. We also bought a grill, off to the left, and had a lovely blue glass table and chairs made for eating out.
